Coosa High School Wins Governor's Cup for Largest SAT Score Increases
Average SAT test scores at Coosa High School in Floyd County, GA jumped 113 points
in one year, earning them the Georgia Governor’s Cup for the 2003-2004 school year.
Coosa had higher average score increases than every other class AA school in Georgia.
Partnering with Chicago-based Cambridge Educational Services, the Floyd County schools-Coosa
included-have offered SAT prep courses during the school year and during intersessions.
Because of their success, Cambridge SAT preparation is being integrated into the general
curriculum for students in grades 6 through 11, across the district.
